		<description>If the solution to the problem is, honestly, to buy something, then I don&#039;t mind it, particularly if there&#039;s some sort of discount offered for having been inconvenienced in the first place.

However, in some support organizations, the reps&#039; pay is partially based on how many upgraded widgets they can sell, and I think that crosses the line - both for the customer and the reps!  I would avoid doing businesses with organizations that are that desperate to claw revenue out of what should be a function figured into the cost of doing business in a technical field.</description>
